Hope City is a church for spiritually orphaned people, hungry believers, and anyone ready to follow Jesus with their whole life.
Die to self. Live in Christ. This is not a threat; it is the doorway to resurrection life.
Jesus does not invite us to add Him to a life arranged around comfort, control, and self-protection. He calls that life to the cross. What rises with Christ is not a diminished version of you. It is a life no longer ruled by fear, appetite, image, or the need to have your own way. What emerges is a life free to tell the truth, receive grace, obey Jesus, forgive, remain when relationships become costly, and give itself away in love.
We do not cling to the life Christ has called to the cross. Sacrifice is not emptiness for emptiness’s sake. It is an emptying that makes room for life. Resurrection life is the life of Jesus taking shape in a people. It is a becoming. As the self-ruled life dies, His life becomes visible in us.
RESET is a return to the convictions, culture, and calling that keep us centered on Jesus and shape the kind of people He is forming us to become.
Hope City Church
A few things happening around Hope City that we want you to know about.
New Sermon Series
This Sunday we begin a new sermon series called RESET. Before we move forward, we’re coming back to some of the things that define who we are as a church — the convictions, culture, and calling that keep us centered on Jesus and on the kind of people He is forming us to become.
Sunday · 10:30 AMEncounter
This Wednesday night, Encounter is moving outside. Instead of our regular prayer gathering inside the building, we’ll walk through our neighborhood together and pray for our community, our neighbors, and what God wants to do around us.
Meet at the church at 7:00 PM as usual. We’ll begin together in the parking lot before heading out. If it rains, we’ll move the prayer gathering indoors.
Sunday Gathering
We’ll gather around the Lord’s Table together as part of our Sunday worship gathering, remembering the death of Jesus, celebrating His resurrection, and proclaiming our shared hope in Him.
